When going through tough moments keep your chin up and smile

posted Jan 31, 2012 6:41 PM by ERIC CHEZ   [ updated Jan 31, 2012 7:00 PM ]

We all are faced with times in life where challenges set in, sometimes they are more than you can cope with. Its natural to go through it, you could be the happiest person, or be otherwise, it doesnt matter, what's important is the attitude one takes, and what step we take to overcome them.

I have realized throughout my life that it is very important to stay positive, keep your chin up and smile.  It's what sets the mode for you and keeps your mind from negativity, as it also affects others around you.  Plan your actions and strive for a solution.

I will continue to do so, as it has always worked out for me, I hope you do the same.

We often are faced with difficulties in life, some tougher than others but in reality you have all the power in the world to overcome it and make it worthwhile.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to live another day, this is shared by many whom have survived life threatening situations, and can truly appreciate life's blessings.
Thank you to all my friends, family, coworkers, and everyone who have been a part of my life.  I am glad to be sharing this life with all of you.

What happened to the good cartoons?

posted Jul 11, 2010 6:54 PM by ERIC CHEZ   [ updated Jul 11, 2010 8:01 PM ]

Growing up in the eighties I remember watching and enjoying cartoons, cartoons that were meant for kids.  My favorites were Smurfs, He-Man, Voltron, GI-Joe, Inspector Gadget, Looney Tunes just to name a few.  These cartoons had morals, and always a lesson to be learned.

Nowadays theres very little cartoons out there that are good for kids.  I find myself turning my son's tv off, and putting him to color or do some jumpstart games on the computer.  Why can't our kids have something good to watch on TV?  Most of it is violence, farting, burping, making fun of others... is this what we want to teach our kids?

How about a cartoon that teaches kids to love, to help others, teach them whats right from wrong.  Its unfortunate that we live in a society that has lost the focus for our kids.

A New Era in Basketball Has Begun!

Three key players have been acquired by the Miami Heat organization.  This team will not only bring excitement to the game, but make it more exciting.

Tonight's "The Decision" by LeBron James, brought an end to weeks speculations and nail biting by people all over the world.  Who would've known, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James would play in the same team?   I'm proud to say I live in Miami, and still, now more than ever, a Miami Heat fan!!

Go Heats, lets bring in a couple of NBA Championships.

Being a single parent

posted Jul 5, 2010 7:25 PM by ERIC CHEZ   [ updated Jul 5, 2010 8:37 PM ]

People say being a single parent is tough, I must say it can be at times. But being a single parent gives you a 100% focus with your child.  I am happy to be there for my son, and he is happy to have me by his side.  I know I have done a great job with him, every time he smiles and says "Daddy, I love you" is a rewarding feeling.

Its hard to think there are parents out there who do not express that same love for their child, or cannot find the time to share with their kids.  Kids look up to us as their protection, their guidance, role models.

Being a single parent teaches you, that even though there are clubs, and parties to go to, where you can go and have a good time.  There are also places where you and your kids can go that would give you equally as much fun, and won't have to spend 100s on drinks.

I give thanks to God to have given me the opportunity to learn what it is to be a parent, and to be their for my son, where he needs me the most.

I'm a proud daddy!

I am currently working on rebuilding my personal page.  Previously I had one hosted on me.com, but because of limitations with the service, I decided to use Google Sites as the platform, which allows me to add gadgets and other cool stuff to my site.  This is an ongoing update, so feel free to stop by often to see the changes.

I appreciate your visit, hope this site is useful to you.
